How the model list is sorted: CamScore, For You and room colors
In one sentence
The rules that order and mark the list of performers: MyFreeCams’ CamScore and colors, Stripchat’s sorting and recommendations, Chaturbate’s Away status.
The top of the list is not neutral
On MyFreeCams, the model list is ordered by CamScore unless you change it in your Model List Settings.1 Every model starts at 1,000, the site average, the median is about 700, and models raise their CamScore by earning more tokens.2 On Stripchat, the sorting of the “Popular” sections is mostly influenced by a broadcast’s popularity and the viewers’ location.3
Sorted by what you did
Stripchat’s “Recommended for You” sections use your interactions with models, the interest you show for broadcasts and your preferences; its “For You” sections also take your journey to model rooms into account.4, 5 “My Favorites” sorts models in the order you added them.6 What a platform keeps of where you are is covered under Local Highlights.
Colors and statuses
On MyFreeCams, the color of a model in the list says why it is there: pink for your Friends List, green for a “Model You May Like”, blue for one of the most popular rooms, orange for a trending room, grey for a room you recently visited, peach for a bookmarked model, yellow for the model you are watching.7 To see only the models you like, MyFreeCams points to its “Friends Only” mode.8 On Chaturbate, a broadcaster goes into “Away” mode automatically after a private show, to prepare before going live again.9
Watch History, and what Stripchat keeps
Stripchat’s privacy policy does not name Watch History, but it answers the question it raises: among the usage data it collects are the services you viewed or searched for and the length and number of your visits, gathered automatically through cookies.10, 11 It keeps personal data as long as necessary for its purposes, and deletes it on request where permissible.12, 13 Observed on 4 November 2026 without an account: the Watch History page said “Your Watch History is empty” after we visited two public rooms, and the browser held an empty guest history entry. We could not establish what fills it, nor whether a guest’s history is kept anywhere but in the browser.
