Filters on Cam4: can the performer you see be altered?
In one sentence
Software, AI, overlays, avatars or voice tools that change how a performer looks or sounds on Cam4, allowed within limits its terms set.
What a filter can change
Cam4’s terms call a filter any software, AI, overlay, avatar, voice tool or other technology that changes appearance, body, age, identity or voice in live or recorded content.1 Filters are allowed for creative expression, as long as the result complies with the law and Cam4’s standards, does not defeat identity verification and does not mislead materially about the person shown.2
What is forbidden
A filter may not depict or suggest a minor sexually, create a nonconsensual intimate depiction, impersonate an identifiable person without permission, hide a performer from Cam4’s verification, falsely suggest consent, or infringe privacy and other rights.3
Who answers for it
Cam4 may require a disclosure that content is synthetic or materially altered, ask for unfiltered verification material, restrict tools, and remove content or suspend accounts.4 The performer remains responsible for filtered and synthetic content.4 The other platforms we read say nothing about filters.
