Show types
What is a private show on a cam site, and how is it billed?
In one sentence
A one to one show with a performer, billed by the minute in tokens, where you can type and on some sites talk.
Billed by the minute, with a minimum
You pay for every minute the show lasts. Stripchat requires enough tokens to cover the show’s minimum duration before it starts, and if you leave earlier you are still charged that minimum. Chaturbate shows the rate, the minimum number of minutes and whether you will get a recording before you confirm.
Fixed rate or the performer’s rate
MyFreeCams bills 1 token per second, so 60 a minute: five minutes cost 300 tokens. BongaCams lists the same 60 tokens a minute in its price table. On Stripchat and Chaturbate, each performer sets the rate; Stripchat gives a range of 8 to 150 tokens a minute.
One to one does not mean unwatched
BongaCams and LiveJasmin describe the private as a face to face exchange, apart from the other users. BongaCams adds that other members can still enter as spies and watch. To keep a show to yourself, platforms sell a more expensive variant.
