Money and tokens
What is a tip menu, and does a tip guarantee the act?
In one sentence
A list the performer posts of actions and the number of tokens each one costs, paid as a tip.
Same menu, opposite rules
On Stripchat, the help center is plain: once a menu item is tipped, the model is obliged to perform it.
Chaturbate’s terms say the reverse from your side. If a broadcaster does not do what the menu suggested after your tip, you cannot require the act or insist on getting the tip back. The same terms forbid tipping for the performance of specific acts: the menu is an encouragement, the tip stays a gift.
Where it appears
On Stripchat the menu is displayed in the chat room. On Chaturbate, the platform’s advice to broadcasters is to put it in their bio or in an app running on the room.
What a tipped item costs you if nothing happens
On both platforms, a tip is final. Stripchat writes that it never refunds a tip, because tips are gifts. So before paying a menu line on Chaturbate, count it as spent whatever follows.
